Mood industriale, mix di vecchio e nuovo… Dove siamo? A Rotterdam, in Olanda. Ho visto le foto di questa casa su Avenue Lifestyle e hanno subito catturato la mia attenzione. Amo la parete con mattoni a vista, le sedie colorate intorno al tavolo in legno di recupero, la parete verde della cucina (un pezzo IKEA personalizzato con un top in cemento e ante dell’azienda Koak Design). E, soprattutto, sono pazza per quella sediolina vintage accanto al letto matrimoniale. Potrebbe essere uno spunto per recuperare la sedia simil-Thonet di quando ero bambina. Chissà… Una cosa è certa, ultimamente vedo sempre più sedie utilizzate come tavolino da notte. Ma forse non c’è da stupirsi, in fondo, come leggevo qualche giorno fa su un blog (non ricordo quale), le sedie sono un tavolino con lo schienale, no?

An industrial mood, a mix of old and new … Where are we? In Rotterdam, in The Netherlands. I saw the pictures of this home on Avenue Lifestyle and they immediately caught my attention. I love the exposed brick wall, the colorful chairs around the reclaimed wood table, the green wall of the kitchen (an IKEA piece customized with a concrete counter top and the cupboard fronts made by Koak Design). And, most of all, I’m crazy for that little chair next to the bed. It could be an idea for repurposing the chair I used when I was a child. Who knows … One thing is certain, lately I’m seeing many chairs used as bedside tables. But it’s not surprising since, as I read a few days ago on a blog (I can’t remember which one), the chairs are a little table with the back, isn’t it?
