While my desire to travel to New York is continuously growing, in the latest issue of Rue Magazine two apartments in Manhattan have stolen my heart.
This is the cosy nest of the photographer Emily Johnston, in the East Village. 40 square meters, grey walls, exposed bricks, a bed nook with a hammock (what a fab idea!) and everywhere the beautiful photos of Emily (you can find them in her online shop). How can you resist this home so peaceful and relaxed?

This is the apartment of the artist Caroline Z Hurley, in the West Village. It is a small space but very warm and cosy too. And, of course, my eye was caught by that big sofa full of pillows that with the textiles and paintings on the walls (most of them are works of Caroline) add character to the environment.
