Home tour: BC Architetti

Casa d’epoca o loft?

House with original features or loft? That’s the question. Oh yes, these are the types of houses that I love the most, but if I could live in one of them, which one would I choose? It’s a tremendous doubt. Just when I thought of this, I found two interesting projects by BC Architetti Associati: Epoca e charme and Loft con patio.

The first project is an old apartment near Porta Venezia, in Milan. I love the original period features (the herringbone parquet and the beautiful panelled ceiling in the living room), I like the grey tones and the mix of old (Louis XV armchairs, tables of the nineteenth century, etc.) and new. And, most of all, I’m crazy for the collection of teapots and for the posters of the 40s and 50s.

Quale spazio preferite? Io continuo a rimanere nel dubbio.

The second project is a loft on two levels, recovery of a carpenter’s shop in Porta Nuova, Milan. 110 square meters around a central courtyard, transformed into a patio full of plants.

A cosy and welcoming space, furnished with an eclectic mix (antique and modern pieces, many travel memories). There are so many things that caught my eye. But I’m, especially, drawn to the turquoise Indonesian cabinet in the kitchen and the rug in the living room.

What do you think? Which one do you prefer? I still have doubts.
